Down to Earth Photography

For over 20 years, I have been exploring the world around me and the people in it with a camera in hand. I have seen and walked through many doors opened to me because of the camera.  I have met fabulous people, famous or not, made friends, shared stories, remaining open always to learning.  The image has always drawn me in... the moment is stopped in time, and it is seen as real and beautiful.  The act of using the camera is cause for me to be moved again and again. It is my tool, through it I give reason to everything around me.
 
From my early years as a student at Michigan State University, where I was a staff photographer in 1980, hunting out the "shot" growing quickly creatively with an understanding of collecting the images while respecting the subject.  I still "hunt" the shots today, shooting in a documentary-style.  My weddings will show and encapsulate your incredible day from start to finish.

I am a mother of two beautiful and photogenic children, a friend, a fun loving, positive, active woman who enjoys her life to the fullest. I am grateful for many things. I hope you enjoy the images you see within the albums... life is precious... I feel the importance of capturing the heartbeat of each moment, every subject I am honored to be a part of.  The images are shown as proofs and are not enhanced in any manner.  They are authentic.
